Dogs are truly man's best friend.  Owning a dog is an experience of a lifetime! It is our responsibility to be sure our dog is healthy, including regular veterinary visits, heartworm medication, vaccinations and a proper diet.   We have some tips to help you and your dog have a wonderful long life together.

Some local shelters have spay and neuter programs to help you with the cost of this procedure.  These plans allow you to visit a participating veterinarian who will only charge you a nominal fee for the procedure.  Call your local shelter to find out more.

Please do not offer your dog the type of cut bone (or simulated treat) that has a hole in the middle.  These have been known to become lodged on the dog’s lower jaw, and more often than not must be removed by the veterinarian.
