Cat Vet Visit

All cats, including those indoors, must receive veterinary care on a regular basis.  We recommends finding a vet in your area that specializes in cat care.  Word of mouth is the best way to find a vet that enjoys working with cats.  Ask other cat owners where they take their own cat.  Your vet should check the following on regular visits:

  • Ears for mites or fungus problems

  • Body for ringworm

  • Standard blood work

  • Fecal exam for worms

  • Vaccinations

  • Eyes for normal pupil response and normal retinal appearance

  • Weight, heart rate, temperature
