Some people refer to the Lhasa Apso
as the "Little Lion Dog" because he is a little dog who thinks he is big.
This breed has a strong will and is very stubborn. He is dignified and
is a good watchdog.
The Lhasa Apso is wary of strangers,
and does not appreciate being scolded by anyone. This is not a good
dog for young children. If the Lhasa Apso has
his fur pulled or is toppled on, he may snap at the child. He will
play with you, but will remain dignified during the game.
This breed does not require a great deal of exercise, and
has a beautiful long coat of fur.

Grooming
The Lhasa Apso requires a good
amount of time for grooming. His coat is dense and should be
brushed daily to keep from matting. Your Lhasa Apso can be washed every one to two weeks.
Blow dry the dog's fur "if you are allowed," and use a bit of
conditioner and water if needed to get out the knots.
Health
The
Lhasa Apso is prone to kidney
disease and skin problems.
